Pumpkin Smoothie

There is something about fall that screams, “pumpkin”! This pumpkin smoothie is one of my favorites, especially when I am craving a pumpkin drink filled with sugar and yucky ingredients. You can make this with coffee, too!

Pumpkin Smoothie
1/4 can of pumpkin puree
2 scoops of vanilla or cafe protein powder (my favorite is this one)*
1/2 cup of liquid (you can use almond, coconut, cashew or organic milk or even coffee)

1/2 tsp pumpkin spice*
1/2 frozen banana

Optional: whipped cream

Combine all ingredients in blender. Blend until creamy.
*If you don’t have pumpkin spice, you can use the spices below:
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
dash of ground ginger or a small piece of fresh ginger
dash of ground cloves
Additionally, you can make this (or any) smoothie thicker by adding avocado. I added one in the smoothie below. I also added Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spiced Pumpkin Seeds for an extra special treat!
