Kids’ Protein bar

One day when I was craving chocolate, I threw together this protein bar. When my kids asked me to make it again when it was gone, I knew I had to share it!

Kids’ Protein Bar

1/2 cup milk or milk substitute (I used soy)

1/2 t vanilla

1/2 c honey

1/2 c applesauce (unsweetened and organic of possible)

1/2 cup of natural nut butter (I used peanut)

4 Tbs ground flax seed

1/2 t salt

1 scoop Life Shake

1 1/2 cup oats (I used steel cut)

1 t cinnamon

4 Tbs almond flour

chocolate chips, sprinkle in a few (or more)

Grease pan with coconut oil. Mix ingredients and bake at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes. Enjoy!

*please use organic ingredients whenever possible.
